DEMOCRATS SEIZE CONGRESS IN MIDTERM SWEEP, CREATING NEW BUDGET HURDLES FOR TRUMP
Democrats seized control of both US congressional chambers on November 3, creating a critical budget deadline on December 11 that may constrain President Trump's ability to fund the war on Iran. While Trump faces these new domestic hurdles, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei expanded the conflict's scope on November 4 by ordering military target databases updated to place all US and Israeli assets within the reach of Iran's Armed Forces. In the Middle East, Israel's election commission rejected Benjamin Netanyahu's fraud claims, clearing the way for a leadership change, while the IRGC claimed to have destroyed four tankers and a US drone in the Strait of Hormuz. The war is now caught between a US president losing his legislative shield and an Iranian leadership expanding its target list worldwide.
